We work with partners to stimulate select industries, creating durable economic choice and a route out of poverty for hundreds of thousands of people.

Prosperity Initiative identifies and develops agricultural and other market sectors. With our development partners, we analyse these sectors and their value-chains, looking for ways to help businesses and investors create new opportunities to link poor farmers and workers in beneficial ways to local, national, regional and global markets.

We measure the poverty impact footprint of our work - the changes in the levels of income and jobs created for the poor and the overall numbers of people lifted out of poverty through the economic opportunities we help create.

Prosperity Initiative looks for untapped growth opportunities and identifies bottlenecks in areas like finance, information, technical services and business operating environment that constrain efficiency. We make the business case to create prosperity locally.

Prosperity Initiative helps farmers and workers increase productivity to achieve higher returns for their products and labour. We work with everyone with an interest in developing market opportunities and a belief that markets are crucial to solving poverty.
