About

Hosted by Prosperity Initiative and Family Services Alliance, the Children, Youth & Family Summit brings together nonprofit leaders, City officials, foundation partners, and community members. This first-of-its-kind convening features honest, solution-driven conversations focused on how we build a more coordinated, sustainable future for San Francisco's children, youth, families, and the workforce that supports them.

The Moment:
To keep families in San Francisco, we must strengthen coordination across nonprofits, City government, and private philanthropy to provide the stability and support families need. Children, youth, and families and the nonprofit staff who serve them are essential to community wellbeing, downtown recovery, and the long-term prosperity of the city. Nonprofits are at the heart of this work, delivering critical services every day and holding together the safety net that makes stability possible. By supporting nonprofits as the backbone of our city, we can ensure San Francisco remains a place where families belong and thrive.

The Summit Will:

  • Highlight the essential role of nonprofits serving children, youth, and families as part of the City’s social and economic backbone.
  • Foster cross-sector alignment and improved coordination so that investments in education, afterschool, housing, health, and family supports work together to create healthier, more resilient communities.
  • Center workforce stability and job quality, recognizing that when staff have dignified, sustainable jobs, they can deliver higher-quality services that strengthen families and communities.
  • Showcase solutions and bright spots from City–nonprofit partnerships and philanthropic collaborations that are already making a difference.

Who Should Attend:
The Summit is designed for those committed to strengthening San Francisco’s children, youth, and family ecosystem. Our target audience includes:

  • Nonprofit staff and leaders providing services to children, youth, and families
  • City leaders and department staff who fund or oversee children, youth, and family services
  • Philanthropic partners and private funders who care about the wellbeing of children, youth, and families
  • If you’re working to create a stronger, more sustainable future for San Francisco’s children, youth, and families, this gathering is for you.
